Together with Coco Chanel and Elsa Schiaparelli, Miriam Haskell elevated the status of "Costume Jewelry" to an accessory as prestigious, and even more fashionable than, its precious equivalent. Her innovative pieces are among the finest ever made.

Haskell’s energetic and hugely successful career from the mid 1920s to the late 1940s introduced new standards of glamour to the world of fashion. In doing so she did for the women of the United States what her contemporary Coco Chanel had done for the well dressed ladies of Paris: namely, establish costume jewellery as a fashionable and valued art from in its own right.

Haskell pieces are of innovative design and rarely replicate the classic forms of precious jewellery, which does much explain why her jewellery has consistently struck a chord with show business, retail clients, and current collectors alike.

Invariably hand wired, often combined with filigree antiqued gilt metal, and presented in unusual and striking colour combinations, Haskell pieces have continuously irresistible.
